Is it worth it to start a business in the Philippines?
emartel01 asked:
I want to know if it is worth it to start a business in the Philippines? I am a Filipino from the States however I do not know if starting a business in the Philippines is worth it.
People say an internet cafe is a good business but everyone seems to be doing that. Anyways I want to know if spending a lot of money to start a business is worth the return?
Thanks for the info

I want to open a business, but wanted to know what other people thought?
kellerxiii asked:
(best ultrasound technician program)
me and my associate were thinking about opening a coffee shop across from the local college, and were wondering if our ideas would be appealing to late high school, and college kids. To start off, it would be called “Caution Coffee” and the slogan would be “This Sh!t is hot. You’ve been warned.” It would be a internet cafe, but the computers would also employ popular gaming titles such as WoW. The coffee selection would be range from standard dark to espresso, to coffee energy drinks, to hangover remedies. instead of “Starbucks selection” or whatever, the “music” would be comedians like mitch hedberg, and sorts, plus live local comedians whenever possible. We figured the walls could be decorated by marker or paint, by the people who came in. Featuring a 18+ profanity wall, and different other themed walls. We thought of offering a “mighty joe” challenge, were a someone would attempt to drink 15-20 double espresso’s and sit through an episode of Martha Stewart, without moving. Gd, bd?

Foreigner working in the Philippines?
big_j_gizzy asked:
Hi, I’m a US undergrad looking to move to the Philippines for the summer to be with my g/f. We are planning to set up a internet cafe business under her name since foreigners cannot own business there for the most situations. Would it technically be illegal for me to even help run the business at all? Any and all details on what I have to do, and if I could theoretically do it legally without paying taxes back to the US since the business is not under my name and I could basically pay myself under the table…haha

Opening cyber cafe business?
Arthur R asked:
In a year and a half, I’m going to be opening a Cyber Cafe. It will serve as a LAN gaming center, used for multi player games. All gaming and Internet hours will be on a point scale (free items will be determined by points) All computers will be in private booths. I will offer Silver, Gold, and Platinum memberships. It will also serve as a low-class restaurant. The restaurant side will provide free Internet access for the convenience of my guests-one must supply his or her own notebook-with in-room wireless access. My strategy is to include this establishment with computer repair service, computer sells, web-design services, programming classes, and many other technology related services.
First week, Internet & gaming access free to all guests; also, free coffee and donuts: Pizzas will be sold for $2.50 & drinks will be free.
I want to know if any of you can share some promotion ideas.
Thanks.

Does anyone know the cheapest way to call Nigeria? Is there a free place or site to find shops in Abuja?
vickiew65 asked:
Does anyone know how I can call for free or for cheapest way to Abuja, Nigeria, Africa??
Can I use my calling cards I purchase here in the US? I have looked online and cannot see anything. I have met a guy from there, he has a business there and I want to be able to talk with him a lot, but can not find a way. He only can get online at the internet cafe beside his business and that cost $20 an hour to use it.
Can anyone give me any ideas or help please?

Gaming Cafe/Server use business help? Opinions Please?
frank91898 asked:
Well I’m moving to mexico and i have alot of money saved up from my summer jobs( about 15,000) I’m familiar with computers that i can fix any problem if it doesn’t have to do with some complicated stuff. So i was planning about opening sort of a home business. My parents build a house over in xalapa veracruz and the bottom part is a garage that is big enough to hold a mini business. Now they let me use the spot and i’m gonna get my plan going.About 8 Computers in rows running on a server with internet and gameplay compatible. More like a game cafe etc.. It’s gonna be in mexico and well i think it’s a good plan for kids and teenagers who’s parents can’t afford to own a computer to come kick it at my spot for a cheap low price.I think i can get something going , but the problem is i need to know if I’m gonna have a problem with the city on this plan. I plan to make it a neighborhood thing. And do you guys think this might be a good way to make some money This is like a Gaming/Computer
This is like a gaming/computer based business. I think it would work out great…Any opinions ?:D
